The story of TSN

How We Started
Back in January of 2025 an SMP we played on was unexpectedly shut down. It was very upsetting as we really enjoyed playing with each other and it was a lotta fun.
Then Felix said, "We should just make our own server". At first it was just a joke: "Us? Running a server? Yeah right" But after contemplating for a while we thought "What's stopping us?" So we started the Temporary Server Name SMP, which would later be shortened to TSN.
We spent countless days and nights preparing a modpack and picking out the best datapacks to create seamless bedrock player compatibility with Java as it was a part of what we wanted. And in the end we managed to create an amazing experience for everyone involved.
Server launch
Season 1 was crazy. We invited a few of our friends, they invited their friends to play, and suddenly we had this massive playerbase! It was incredible to see how many people wanted to play on our server and the energy was amazing, but after a while it got a bit overwhelming. We felt like we didn't know anyone on our own server anymore and everyone was doing their own thing.
With season 1 getting stale and us wanting to move on, both as a minecraft world and as people we wanted to start fresh and pick members a bit better after season 1 had a bit of mishaps with griefing.
Getting Our Groove Back
Around July 2025 we decided to start over, we were very happy with how season 1 went overall but we wanted to get that tight-knit vibe back. So as we launched season 2 we decided to add an application feature where the members of the server can first look at who the people are that want to join and decide together if we think they would add to the good vibes of the group. ❤️
Season 2 also brought a natural shift in who was steering the ship. Felix and BlueRat became less available and less invested as life pulled them in other directions, and that's totally okay! The server found new owners who were just as passionate, and the community kept thriving without missing a beat.
